RO: Atunci cand calatoresti ai ocazia sa experimentezi o alta lume. Daca ieri te aflai la mii de kilometri departare, azi poti fi intr-un loc care sa te inspire, iar singura persoana care poate influenta acest lucru esti chiar tu. Libertatea, oamenii, mirosul unui nou oras si efervescent toate acestea te fac sa te indragostesti iremediabil de un loc si sa nu-ti mai doresti sa pleci vreodata. Londra, mai presus de toate, te cucereste prin peisaj… am batut cararile din Hyde Park impreuna cu Shay, la apusul soarelui si ne-am dat seama cat de putin conteaza de fapt o poza, pe Instagram, atunci cand ai in fata un peisaj atat de frumos. Am stat pe iarba, sub un copac negru si am discutat zeci de minute despre peisajul din fata noastra, despre dorinta de a pleca si de a descoperi.

Mai devreme, luasem pranzul la ultimul etaj al turnului Aldgate. Spre deosebire de cazul Hyde Park, aici am avut bateriile 100% incarcate asa ca am profitat de ocazie pentru a face cateva fotografii. Soarele stralucea, vantul mi-a compromis coafura, insa frumusetea si spun din nou libertatea pe care Londra ti-o ofera te face sa ramai fara cuvinte in fata unui astfel de peisaj urban, care freamata, n-are rabdare si te rascoleste. Am stat vreme de 15 minute pe terasa si m-am uitat peste oras, incercand sa imi dau seama ce face omul, in living, intrebandu-ma oare unde se indreapta taxiurile negre, atat de grabite. Pentru cateva momente mi-am dorit sa fi locuit in Londra. Orasul privea spre noi si mai aprig, sclipind obraznic printre licariri de prosecco. Cateva ore mai tarziu si 13 etaje mai jos, ma gandeam la acelasi lucru: imi place sa calatoresc, imi place sa revin acasa, dupa o saptamana la mii de kilometri departare. Asta e frumusetea vietii, trebuie sa ajungi in locuri care te inspira si atunci se vor intampla lucruri minunate. Nu-i asa…?

If yesterday you were miles away from where you are today, that’s brilliant, you need new places to inspire you, and you are the only one that can influence this never ending circle of traveling. The freedom, the people, the smell of a new, effervescent city, all these things make you fall in love with places, and all of a sudden, you don’t wanna’ leave, like ever. London, above all, charms you with its views, oh the views… But beyond the instagramable views, we took a walk at sunset one day and we realised that we shouldn’t give a damn about any picture (our iPhones were dead). We just sat on the grass, enjoying the deep spring, colourful (and freezing) sunset, and we just fanned the breeze. We kept talking about leaving your comfort zone and setting yourself free…

Earlier that day, we had lunch on top of the world, at Aldgate Tower. Unlike our Hyde Park experience, at that very moment our batteries were fully charged, so we snapped some photos. The sun was shining above London, the wind put my hairstyle out of court, but the beauty and again the freedom London gave us from above, left us speechless. This view was quivering, you couldn’t stand a chance, trust me. I sat there, on the edge of this surreal building and I kept trying to imagine what people do inside their cosy living rooms (with ah view), I kept trying to imagine where the black cabs are rushing to, and for a few moments I wished I lived in London. The city was watching us, glimmering cheeky, among prosecco bubbles. A few hours later, and 13 floors under, I was thinking about the same exact thing: I love to travel, yet I also love coming home, after a full week, miles away. This is the beauty of life, you must travel, and let the views inspire you, and that’s the exact moment when beautiful moments will happen. Isn’t that a hell of a thing…?
