Altitude Expedition

The only way in which you can look good during winter, without freezing to death, is by embracing layering. Exhibit A. I’ll tell you exactly what I was wearing in the photos below, since you can’t tell from the photos only: (1) a thermo-insulating blouse, (2) a grey knit, (3) a thick grey blazer, (4) a Constantine Renakossy wool vest, (5) a Zara cape, with a furry collar, (6) a thick Ocko Shop beanie, (7) my Uvex Downhill snowboarding glasses on top, (8) a pair of H&M gloves in which it’s impossible to be cold, (9) leggings underneath the Moja leather pants, since we already know that in leather pants you’re feeling hot during summer and cold in winter… (10) a pair of wool socks and (11) the Attitude boots. That’s it. Layering.
As Patricia said in her article, you have to take care of your extremities, so you’d better pick thick gloves and hats and a pair of army or snow boots. Boots are great in the city and snow boots on the slopes. Starting from the three key warm items, begin the layering process and add as many textures as possible – fur, kits, XXL mufflers. Right now Jaded by Aerosmith is playing in the background (probably the reason why it’s going to be this post’s song) and I’m thinking about some outfits for the weekend, as we’re going to Alandala Winter Session in Baisoara, where it’s going to be cold. And I mean #COLD. It’s going to be one of those times when I’m going to have to sit on the troller to close it, yet this time I won’t be having twenty outfits, only two, since I’m not going to Bali. Now how fun is that? To be honest, right after the 31st of December I start hating winter and I’m like: well, Christmas passed and so did Ner Year’s, let summer begin already! Actually, it’s the only thing we’ve been talking about these days and this year, like in the ones before, we start missing summer way too early. Layer over layer, Beatrice Balaj told me on Facebook: “Come to Los Angeles!! It’s warm all year round”. I’m on my way right now, not to L.A, but to shoot another winter look.
ENJOY THE LAYERING
